Introduction
Five Alive `O is one of the most authentic and well known bands in the German Irish Folk Scene and a constant favourite with their audience. The charismatic Lead Singer Seán Reeves gives the band its powerful and modern sound combined with traditional arrangements. The band was founded in 1995 and is still going strong. Their range and arrangements combine traditional with blues and country elements. The 6 musicians are from various different countries, which adds to their versatility. The Band Members: Seán Reeves (Vocals, Bodhran), Gert Neumann(Guitar), Jonathan Williams (Fiddle Keyboards), Michael McCarroll (Fiddle) Reza Askari- Motlagh..(Bass) und Näx May, Flute and Pipes. Outside the Irish Folk Scene Five Alive’O have been successful with hits with “Michelle” and different guest appearances on TV shows all over Germany.
